Allah's Makeover :)

Guys, first of all, I'd like to thank you for sharing your thoughts through my giveaway contest and commenting on my posts. Your answers really help and I'll be sure to do all those improvements you suggested for the beauty of all, most especially for my blog's! :)

So anyways, I did another makeover for a friend. I'm glad that all my makeover accomplice are very cooperative and very happy to let me do them a makeover.

My newest makeover model is Allah, a very pretty and fair church-mate and friend :)

Allah asked me to do her an office makeup look. She'll be wearing a black skirt and white top and she wants to know which eye color will look best on her. I suggested we use gray and she approved it. So, I used gray and white on Allah's eyes. And since it's for an office setting, I applied the eyeshadow subtly. Here's her EOTD.

I applied the darkest gray from her e/s palette on the outer corners, nearest to the crease and outer lids only. I also made her brows look fuller and though at first she didn't like the fuller brows, the next minutes after she began to like it more.

So here's Allah before and after. Ain't she pretty? :)

The makeup I used on this makeover are...

On her face
Ellana's Chai Tea Latte (Light for Olive Undertones)
Ellana's Finishing Espresso Con Panna
Dollface Mini Contour/ Highlight Palette

On her lips
Etude #2 Lipliner

On her cheeks and eyes
From Allah's Palette
Nichido Medium Brown Brow Liner
Nichido Black Brown Eyeliner

Anyways girls, I have to go now. Limited internet connection's really keeping me from blogging more! Also, don't forget to join my mineral makeup giveaway contest, okay? I love yah!

Interview Day OOTD II

I just attended an interview for the post I've been waiting for the past weeks. I used the same pants (as you'll notice) and just mixed and matched it with another top and accessories. Yes, I used the same pants again. I even use the same pants four times a month. And btw, I wore this in two different company interviews. :)

So here's my outfit! I topped my white chinese-collared blouse with an overlapping blazer and I accessorized my neck with a layered beads necklace. :)

This time, I put on a heavier foundation since I need a makeup that'll last the whole day. I also permed my hair with a curling iron.

What I like most in my outfit is the blazer. It's very versatile. I bought it from Simple Match and just mix and match it with different outfits; may it be skirt, slacks or pants. :)

Anyways, don't forget to join my mineral makeup giveaway girls. Just click here or click on the photo below to join. ;)

Dollface Contour and Highlight Review

I bought this pre-loved Dollface contour and highlight palette from a good friend. It was originally priced at P550 but I was able to buy it at only P250. It's still in very good condition except for the minor cracks and besides, my good friend also included a lot of freebies with the palette. My favorite among her freebies was the Covergirl Bronzer. So, it was all still a good buy! :)

I've been wanting to have this palette ever since I saw a famous celebrity makeup artist using this on one of my fave local artist. And also, I noticed that my old photos were all plain and bland without contouring. So, if you'll notice the differences of my old and recent photos, it's all because of that. :)

What Dollface Cosmetics say...

Size
Palette's 4 x 6 inches. Powder pans are at 2.5 inches (6.35 cm) in diameter each.

Ingredients
Talc, Mica, Mineral Oil, Kaolin, Titanium Dioxide, Magnesium Stearate, Isopropyl Palmitate, Lanolin, Methylparaben, Proplparaben.
May contain Mica and Titanium Sioxide, Iron Oxides, Ultramarine Blue, FD&C Red No.40 A1Lake, FD&C Red No.7 Ca Lake, Fd&C Yellow No.5 A1Lake, FD&C Blue No. 1 A1 Lake.

What Kikay Morena thinks...

Size
Pan is big enough. Will last forever if you'll only use it for yourself. The palette size is also handy and can also fit in your purse or hand bag.

Quality
The ingredients and packaging are almost the same as the Coastal Scents' palettes but, the powder pan easily cracks so you really have to avoid dropping or putting heavy objects over it.

Pigment
Very pigmented and will suit medium light to dark skin tones. Those with lighter skin tone might have to control the application to avoid making the contour look dirty. All in all, the pigment is great and can be for all skin tones!

Usefulness
The two colors are surely useful for all skin tones. The white is useful for highlighting the nose bridge, brow bonecheekbone, upper lip and chin. While the brown color, for contouring the eyes, cheeks, forehead and nose. But, application may differ on a particular face shape.

Here's a diagram on where to put contouring and highlighting in a round face.

Photo from Google

How much do I love it?
I love it and I'm giving it 8 out of 10 lovings! It really does magic and I love how it makes me look great on photos. I don't look bland and unnatural on photos anymore. :)

Kikay Morena's tips:
First, find a contour powder that is one shade darker than your skin tone and a highlight powder that is one shade lighter. You can use a slanted eyeshadow brush to do the contouring on your nose and eyes and a slanted blush brush for the cheek and other areas.
Second, blend, blend, blend.

Contouring and Highlighting is one way of defining the face by showing it's natural contour or by adding more definition to it. Our face has a natural contour which dulls away when we put concealer and foundation or pressed powder that's why contour and highlight should be done after putting on foundation. But, this process also needs a good blending. With the help of the right tools and techniques, we can perfect contouring and highlighting. I'm not an expert on this but, I've noticed how contouring can make one look awful or awfully good. Here's an example of a badly contoured face with an international comedian/actress as model.

Her contours are way darker than her skin tone and highlights are way lighter. The contours and highlight lacks blending too. Here's another photo that shows good contour and highlighting.

I miss blogging so much. I hope I can blog more on the next days to come. I want to blog about how I look with and without contouring and I want to feature more makeovers by me, the kikay morena! So, that would be it for now ladies!

Lots of Love,

Giveaway Survey Winner

As a sign of my gratitude to those who were kind enough to fill out my survey form even without a promised prize, I've chosen lucky winner/s who will receive the item entered on the survey form. For my survey winner/s, I will be giving away items worth up to a certain amount. If the cost of the item entered by the first winner didn't reach my prize budget, I will still be choosing another to fill out the planned prize amount. Winner/s was chosen via random.org.

I prepared the list of qualified survey entries and had a test early last night. After 12 midnight, I once again did the randomized list via random.org and here is what's in the result... There were 64 qualified entries and the winner is the name that appeared first in the list. I didn't copy all the names because the list was too long. I just   copied the first and last portion of the list and typed the time and date I did the randomization.

So, the winner is: Cristina Alcoba

Will be contacting the winner via email. Congratulations!!! Didn't choose another winner anymore because her entered Ellana item reached the prize budget already.

To everyone who entered in the survey, thank you very much... :) :) :)

You still have a chance to win my giveaways by entering in my newly opened giveaway contest right now. Just click on the link or on this photo to see the new giveaway contest I opened today!
