How to Perfect the Look: Prime lips with a little lip balm then blot off the excess. To keep lipstick from feathering, fill lips with a lip pencil before applying lipstick. Blot with a tissue then apply a second coat of lipstick.

I also read an article saying that topping your lipstick with a colorless powder will make it last longer.
